The United States and Venezuela are resuming diplomatic relations, the US State Department says.
"This step will facilitate our joint efforts to promote stability, support economic reconstruction, and push for political reconciliation in Venezuela," the department said in a statement.
Since Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was captured by the United States in January, interim President Delcy Rodríguez has ruled the country.
