Representatives for the USA and Russia are to meet on Thursday in Istanbul to discuss a partial reopening of the countries' respective embassies.
This is announced by the American Foreign Ministry – which emphasizes that the war in Ukraine will not be discussed.
There are no political issues or security issues on the agenda, and Ukraine is not – absolutely not – on the agenda. These talks are entirely focused on the embassies, says Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tammy Bruce.
