The meeting between the US Vice President JD Vance and India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi was productive, the countries report.
According to Modi's office, "significant progress" has been made in the negotiations on a trade agreement, where India hopes to secure relief regarding the tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump.
Vance's office also reported progress, and announced that the countries have established a plan for how the discussions will continue going forward.
