The meeting in the French capital will take place between March 15 and 16, the US Treasury Department said in a press release.
“Thanks to the mutual respect between President Trump and President Xi, the trade and economic dialogue between the United States and China continues to move forward,” Bessent said in a statement.
Washington and Beijing clashed when Donald Trump launched his global trade tariffs last year. The parties have since agreed on several points.
Trump is scheduled to travel to China in the first week of April, where he will be received by Xi Jinping.
