The Israeli military says it has sent forces to the village of Qusra, dismantled two posts and arrested one Israeli. The forces will remain in the area “to protect residents and maintain security,” the military says.
Settlers have been blocking Palestinian homes in Qusra since Sunday, including one owned by an American citizen. Residents say they have been prevented from accessing food and other necessities.
US Ambassador Mike Huckabee has condemned the siege and said that Israel has intervened at the request of the US.
