"After the sirens that sounded for a short time ago in several areas of Israel, a rocket fired from Yemen was intercepted," writes the Israeli army on the messaging service Telegram and adds that air defense systems had been deployed "to stop the threat".
Iran condemns the "barbaric" attacks, announces Esmaeil Baqaei, spokesperson for the country's foreign ministry.
US President Donald Trump has previously said that the attacks will continue until the Houthi movement is no longer a threat to shipping in the Red Sea.
