The development pointed mostly upwards on the leading Asian stock exchanges in the initial Monday trading.
The Hang Seng index in Hong Kong was up 0.7 percent before lunch local time. Meanwhile, the composite index in Shanghai and Shenzhen was up 0.5 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively.
In South Korea, the Kospi was up 0.2 percent.
The Tokyo stock exchange was closed due to a public holiday.
