The man employed at the school has been detained since May 15 on probable grounds, the higher of two suspicion grades, for a case of gross sexual assault on a child and five cases of sexual harassment of a child.
“The victims of the crime are girls aged seven to ten. The crimes were committed in a school environment, but out of consideration for the secrecy of the investigation, we will not go into further details. It has been about touching of a sexual nature,” says prosecutor Bente Erfäldt in a press release.
The gross sexual assault is alleged to have taken place between November 2023 and March 2024, and the sexual harassments between September 2023 and April 2025.
The prosecutors' evidence consists, among other things, of the girls' stories, which are described as consistent, and witness statements that are supposed to support their stories.
“The investigation work is now continuing with further interrogations, going through seized technology and other investigative measures,” says senior prosecutor Erik Grönvall in the press release.
