The defendants, who are both in their 40s, are charged with serious social assistance fraud; according to the prosecutor, they defrauded the Social Insurance Agency of several million kronor.
According to the indictment, they are also accused of seizing their client's income. They are charged with aggravated assault because the prosecutor believes they breached their duty of care towards the man, thereby putting his life in danger.
The crimes are said to have taken place between 2020 and 2025.
The trial begins at the end of August.
