A previously school-employed man is sentenced to three years and nine months in prison for several serious sexual offenses against girls in elementary school age at a school in Uppsala. My spontaneous feeling is that I am satisfied with the verdict, says prosecutor Bente Erfäldt.

In total, 16 girls were plaintiffs in the indictment, and the district court convicts the man on all 16 indictment points.

He has been convicted of all the alleged crimes. Overall, the district court has shared the prosecutors' assessment of how these crimes should be assessed. We had a slightly higher claim, but I must still say that the overall picture is that I am satisfied, says prosecutor Bente Erfäldt to TT.

All the girls were in elementary school age at the time of the crimes, and several of the crimes were committed at a school in Uppsala where the man, who is in his 60s, had been employed.

The man started working as a resource, janitor and leisure educator at the current school in 2023. The crimes were committed from then until the spring of 2025, when the man was deprived of his liberty.

The evidence against the man, who is previously unpunished and who denies the crime, consisted, among other things, of the girls' stories and technical evidence in the form of images and films found in the man's possession.

The man has been in the school world for a long time and has been employed at other schools before.
