According to the schedule, Toulouse–Troyes was supposed to be played on Saturday, but it has now been moved to Sunday.
"Although it is not considered a high-risk event, a match that attracts a large crowd requires police and security guard coverage," says the local prefecture.
A rugby match in Toulouse will also be moved from Saturday to Sunday. On Tuesday, it was decided that the Ligue 2 match between Montpellier and Paris-based Red Star would be moved from Saturday to Monday.
Last weekend, riot-like unrest erupted in several French cities in connection with nationwide protests against rising living costs. Since then, authorities have imposed partial curfews in parts of Paris and Toulouse, among other places.
