This means Växjö leads the series 3-1 and can decide it at home on Wednesday.
It was 2–2 in Gävle, with 3.5 minutes left, when Brynäs received a team penalty for six men on the ice. Växjö's Brogan Rafferty took advantage and made it 3–2.
"We are too hot," Brynäs coach Niklas Gällstedt told TV4 Play about the decisive penalty.
Earlier in the third period, Växjö's Eemeli Suomi received a match penalty after cross-checking, and during the five-minute suspension Brynäs scored to make it 2–2 (Jakob Silfverberg).
The match hero was Växjö goalkeeper Adam Åhman, who saved 30 of 32 shots.
"I got good help and was able to focus on my work," he said.
