The reason is dissatisfaction with the employer organization Almega's stance on the issue of working hour reduction and the right to compensation for part-time employees who work overtime.
Affected are, among others, the private school company Academedia Support and the innovation companies. The notice affects members working at Sweco Sweden, Kiwa Sweden, Kiwa Nuclear, WSP Sweden, and Tyréns, according to a press release from Unionen.
Also, the vehicle inspection companies Opus and Carspect are being notified.
The Swedish Association of Engineers has also issued a notice of conflict. A total of around 1,000 engineer members are affected, writes the union.
"It is both sad and irresponsible of Unionen and the Swedish Association of Engineers to issue a notice of conflict", responds Almega's chief negotiator David Larsson.
The conflict will break out on April 23 if the parties have not reached an agreement by then.
