The simplest way is to sign a collective agreement, but now it is not possible, or has not been possible so far, and then we have to find alternative solutions, so we open up for discussions. But in the end, it's about how we can guarantee the security, says IF Metall's union chairman Marie Nilsson to Ekot.
The prolonged conflict between IF Metall and Tesla is based on the car manufacturer's unwillingness to sign a collective agreement, and has been going on for over 600 days. According to Nilsson, there has been a shift in position at Tesla during the strike.
It's that Tesla has adjusted conditions for its employees, without going into details, because of course you want to be an attractive employer with good conditions. It's about salaries and it's about insurance, she says.
