Chairwoman Josefin Engström told SVT Kultur that she thinks it is problematic that tax-financed SVT is replacing human creation with AI:
All of the AI services on the market today, virtually all of them, are built on stolen material.
Petter Bragée at SVT Barn emphasizes that he tries to use models that are not trained on copyrighted material, but admits he cannot be one hundred percent sure.
In Svenska Dagbladet, Bragée writes that he thinks it is reasonable to test AI technology in a few well-chosen projects. This follows the newspaper's columnist Björn Werner lamenting that SVT's time as "an oasis of children's culture" seems to be over.
