150,000 new jobs were created in the private sector in the USA in June, according to monthly statistics from the payroll administrator ADP.
It was fewer than expected and can be compared to 157,000 new jobs in the sector in May according to revised figures.
The average forecast among analysts was 165,000 new jobs in June, according to the news agency Bloomberg's compilation of forecasts.
The ADP report comes ahead of Friday's major monthly job report from the US Department of Labor with employment and unemployment figures for June.
