The British economy grew unexpectedly in the fourth quarter of last year, according to calculations from the country's statistics agency ONS.
The growth compared to the previous quarter was 0.1 percent, which can be compared to the average forecast of a 0.1 percent decrease in GDP during the quarter.
Compared to the fourth quarter of 2023, the growth was 1.4 percent.
Industrial production in December increased by 0.5 percent, which can be compared to the expected 0.2 percent.
