In the end of May, nearly 359,000 people, or 6.8 percent of the workforce in the age group 16-65, were registered as unemployed at the country's employment agencies.
Unemployment peaked in January at just over 7.1 percent. But the decrease should be taken with a pinch of salt, it usually goes down in the spring, according to the authority. According to seasonally adjusted values, the share without a job has been stable since the turn of the year.
In May last year, unemployment stood at 6.5 percent.
