"This is absolutely crazy. It's unbelievable, but I'm incredibly happy that I managed to enjoy it even the last time we stand on this stage," she says, standing in the confetti rain on stage when TV4's cameras have gone out.
She also admits that it was a bit nice to beat two Stockholmers in the final.
Tuva Råwall has often received praise from the jury during the season and the final night was no exception.
"We gave you a challenge that we didn't know if you would be able to handle, but you shined. You owned the stage," said Katia Mosally after Tuva performed the song that the jury had chosen for her.
Raised the roof
In second place came Love Stenmarck Hedlund, whose interpretation of Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing in the Dark" made the roof of the Philadelphia Church rise. If the surnames sound familiar, it may be because the parents, Martin Stenmarck and Hanna Hedlund, are also involved in music.
- It's crazy, I'm so happy. This has been unforgettable and I'm so happy that I got to do this, he says after the final.
He was first out of the evening and both his own song choice, the nightclub-smoky "Lover, you should've come over" and the James Arthur interpretation won over the jury.
"You have become a real man, a future world artist," Anders Bagge said in the broadcast.
I like that song so much and am incredibly proud that I got to do it, says Love Stenmarck Hedlund.
How do you proceed now?
Write music and play, play, play, says the satisfied second place.
Ready for the world
For 16-year-old Nicolina-Mercedes Brandström, the "Idol" journey ended with a third place. She received much praise for her obvious way of delivering modern pop songs. Like Love Stenmarck Hedlund, she has been suffering from a cold and throat problems during the week but still managed to perform at her best according to a unanimous jury.
"You show such poise and self-confidence. Little Nico is ready for the world," said Katja Mosally.
The final night was attended by the now-defunct group EMD, whose members, Erik Segerstedt, Mattias Andréasson and Danny Saucedo, all have a past in the program. Now they ripped off a medley of their songs in the results show.
In addition to the honor and a record deal, the winner of "Idol" also receives a ticket to next year's Diggiloo tour.
