UN Security Council meets on Venezuela after the US arrested President Nicolás Maduro

The UN Security Council will discuss the situation in Venezuela on Monday.

Somalia's UN delegation, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the Security Council, announced that the extraordinary meeting in New York comes at the request of Venezuela after the US arrested President Nicolás Maduro.

The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. local time in Sweden on Monday.
