In May, the UN recorded the highest number of civilian casualties in a single month in Ukraine since April 2022, a new report from the refugee agency UNHCR shows,DPA reports.
At least 274 civilians were reported killed and another 1,763 were injured. Rocket and drone attacks accounted for just under half, 45 percent, of the deaths.
Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, more than 16,000 civilians have been killed, according to the UN.
