In total, at least 100 children have been killed during the three-month ceasefire, according to James Elder, spokesman for the UN children's fund UNICEF.
"It's about a girl or a boy every day," he told reporters in Geneva while on site in Gaza.
The children have been killed in airstrikes, drone strikes and artillery shelling, according to Elder. Most recently, on Thursday, at least three children were killed when an Israeli drone hit a tent for Palestinian refugees in southern Gaza, and two more children were killed in separate attacks elsewhere in the strip.
The ceasefire between Israel and the terrorist Hamas movement in Gaza came into effect on October 10 last year. Since then, both sides have accused each other of repeated violations of the ceasefire. More than 400 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces during the ceasefire, according to the Gaza Strip's health ministry.
