Every day, on average, ten children in Gaza lose one or both legs, according to the UN human rights body OHCHR.
In total, more than 134,000 people in the Gaza Strip have war-related injuries, writes OHCHR on X. Of these, over 40,500 are children.
20 months of war and Israeli bombardment have also destroyed the care and protection opportunities for people with disabilities, notes OHCHR.
