Russia was among the countries that voted against the proposal.
The resolution “demands that Russia ensure the immediate, safe and unconditional return of all Ukrainian children who have been forcibly transferred or deported.”
Ukraine has accused Russia of capturing at least 20,000 Ukrainian children since the large-scale offensive war in Ukraine began in February 2022.
