It will take time to turn the famine in Gaza, according to the UN's food program, WFP. Now the organization demands that all border crossings to the war-torn territory should be opened.

The WFP currently has five functioning distribution points for food, but wants to increase to 145 in order to be able to "flood Gaza with food", says spokesperson Abeer Etefa at a press conference.

Currently, too little food is still coming to Gaza, she says. On average, it has so far been about 560 tons of food per day to Gaza since the ceasefire came into effect, the organization reports.
