According to Aftonbladet, Nessvold has chosen to become the host of Melodifestivalen next year, but it is nothing he wants to comment on now.
It's fun that it's being speculated about, but SVT has to answer that, he says.
"New Noa Nyman" on the other hand, he is happy to talk about. For between two and three years, Nessvold, 29 years old, has lived with the series which now gets its premiere on SVT. Everything started with the discussions he had with his friends.
Things you make decisions about now have consequences in a way you didn't think about when you were 20 plus, I noticed a huge difference a few years ago: job, housing, all these big questions. Nobody really wanted to make a decision. Wherever you went, you chose something else.
"Interesting"
Also, scriptwriter Björn Edgren was involved in the idea work. The thoughts of a TV series began to fall into place when Hampus Nessvold came up with the idea that he himself and Johan Ulveson might be able to go for the same person - the younger and older Noa Nyman?
It's a very fun and interesting thought to get to travel back and make the choices again, but also an unpleasant thought if it were to be for real, very scary and terrible, says Johan Ulveson and adds:
What you're afraid of is often the most interesting thing to make entertainment out of.
Ulveson recalls Dramaten's CEO Mattias Andersson's play "We who got to relive our lives" which was based on interviews with people about what they regret in their lives.
It became such comedy in it, it was things like "I regret not choosing special English". It's probably about it being hard to formulate the big existential things that you regret, then it becomes the small things instead.
"Piss day"
His bitter old man travels back from a "piss day" 2065 to his younger self 2025 to get himself to quit his job at a dirty credit company. Even more, Noa the older wants to prevent the tragedy that he thinks is the reason for his life's downfall. He even manages to move in with his younger self.
But isn't it just as much about how Noa the older should reconcile with life?
It's probably a bit what the series' purpose is, says Nessvold.
Who will then host Melodifestivalen?
Maybe it'll be me? jokes Ulveson before revealing that he was actually asked once to host Melodifestivalen together with Jill Johnson.
I don't think I'll travel back in time and change that.
Do you regret it?
A little maybe, but I am who I am and then it becomes no to that.
