The 31-year-old with roots in Västernorrland saved 32 shots and kept a clean sheet throughout the match.

I know that this is a tough team to play against. They are really good at pushing hard for the first five-ten minutes, says Linus Ullmark to reporters after the match.

The Carolinas players are skilled offensively, notes the Swede, emphasizing that as a goalkeeper, you can't afford to get too comfortable.

They're firing shots at the goal all the time. So you have to work all the time, you can't slack off.

In terms of goals, it was a relatively slow-starting match, and it wasn't until the second period that the deadlock was broken when Ottawa's Shane Pinto scored 1–0.

Then it was a flurry of activity for the away team, which scored two more goals in the third period, including another one scored by Shane Pinto. Ottawa won 3–0.

Two-goal scorer Pinto took the opportunity to praise Linus Ullmark after the match.

I can't say enough about him. He's the reason we won the match. We're glad to have him.
