Linus Ullmark is back on the ice in the NHL after taking a break from hockey for personal reasons. He made 26 saves and led Ottawa to a victory over New Jersey.

It was on December 28 that Ottawa announced that the 32-year-old would take an indefinite break from hockey for personal reasons.

He had been the backup goalie for the previous two games, but Sunday night's game, which ended in a 4-1 victory for Ottawa, was his first appearance.

He was named the NHL's best goaltender in 2023.

Linus Ullmark has not been selected for Tre Kronor's squad for the Olympics in Milan in February.
