"The Gormley and Chipperfield tower will not be moved. It contains too much rebar to be put back together if it is taken down. It will be demolished," Susan Bolgar, project coordinator for Kivik Art Center, told the newspaper.
The tower led to a long-standing dispute with neighbor Ulf Lundell, who argued that art park visitors had access to his property.
According to Susan Bolgar, discussions are underway with the two Britons about a new site-specific artwork on Svabesholm. But if so, it won't be until a few years later.
