For the first time, a Ukrainian military factory is to be built in Denmark. A facility for producing Ukrainian rocket fuel is now being prepared near Vojens on Jutland.

It is the company Fire Point that is invited to establish itself with military manufacturing, according to a press release from Denmark's Ministry of Business. Fire Point manufactures, among other things, large war drones and robots in secret factories in Ukraine. In Denmark, fuel for them will be produced.

Denmark has taken a role as a driving force in initiatives to jointly manufacture military equipment in Europe during the Ukraine war. In June, a cooperation agreement was presented, and the Copenhagen government allocated half a billion Danish kronor to get the work started.

With the establishment of the Vojens factory, "the government takes another step in helping Ukraine, and at the same time strengthens the opportunities for cooperation between the Ukrainian and Danish defense industries”, it says in Wednesday's press release.
