The suspects are "a young Belarusian woman" and a Ukrainian man "in his early 20s", says a spokesperson from the government about who was arrested for Monday evening's overflight.
On Monday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that it would be about two Belarusian citizens. It is unclear why the initial information was incorrect, but the suspects have been interrogated during the night.
The drone flew over the presidential palace and other government buildings in the capital Warsaw. It was not shot down but landed after the arrest.
Last week, dozens of Russian military drones violated the airspace of former NATO country Poland. Polish and allied countries' fighter jets were deployed to shoot down the drones.
