The Ukrainian football player Heorhij Sudakov's residence has been damaged after a Russian drone attack, he writes on Instagram.

The 23-year-old posted several pictures and videos – which BBC has verified – showing the devastation of the apartment building's highest floors. He also writes that his children and pregnant wife were at home during the attack, but it is not known if anyone was injured in the attack, according to BBC.

Sudakov is with the Ukrainian national team that plays World Championship qualifying. The family is staying in Kyiv.

BBC writes that Russia sent 805 drones and 13 missiles over the weekend, of which 751 were shot down by Ukraine. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj confirmed that four people were killed and 44 injured in the attack.

Sudakov normally plays for Portuguese Benfica after being loaned out by Ukrainian club Sjachtar Donetsk.

Ukraine lost to France in World Championship qualifying on Friday with 0–2 on "home ground" – in Poland. On Tuesday, Azerbaijan awaits away.
