As expected, Ajax star Oleksandr Zinchenko will miss the playoff semi-final against Sweden in Valencia next Thursday due to a knee injury. But he is just one of several key players missing for Ukraine.
Ruslan Malinovskyi (Genoa) and Yukhym Konoplya (Shakhtar Donetsk) are both suspended. Konoplya is a regular starter for Ukraine and Malinovskyi finished World Cup qualifying with three goals and one assist in three games.
In addition, Taras Mychavko, Mykola Matviyenko and Artem Dovbyk - who knocked Sweden out of Euro 2021 - are also injured and out of the squad.
Sweden captain Graham Potter will present his squad on Wednesday. The winner of the semi-final will face Poland or Albania in the play-off final on March 31.
