Ukraine's Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk are fired as a result of a high-profile corruption scandal.

The parliament, the Rada, has voted to remove both of them.

Last week, the ministers were suspended after a 15-month investigation by Ukraine's anti-corruption agency Nabu, which led to 70 raids on the country's energy sector.

Svitlana Hryntchuk has previously confirmed that she has resigned from the role but denies that she has committed any "professional irregularities".

According to Nabu, a "high-level criminal organization" has been uncovered in which bribes were linked to contracts awarded by the nuclear power company Energoatom. Around the equivalent of 100 million US dollars are said to have passed through a money laundering scheme.
