The ceasefire declared by Russia during the Orthodox Easter holiday began on Saturday afternoon and was supposed to last until midnight on Sunday.
But on Sunday morning, Ukraine's military reported 2,299 Russian violations, including shelling and drone strikes.
Russia is simultaneously accusing Ukraine of nearly 2,000 violations.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Thursday that a ceasefire would be observed during the Orthodox Easter holiday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had already appealed for a 32-hour ceasefire a week earlier.
