The next tripartite meeting was scheduled for this week, possibly starting as early as Thursday. But it will not take place, the Ukrainian president announced.
"There is another war going on right now in the Middle East. We talked to the American side (...) about the possibility of changing the location and postponing the meeting for a while because of the war in the Middle East," he wrote on X, referring to an interview he did with Italian Rai.
The plan was to hold the meeting in Abu Dhabi, but after the Iranian counterattacks in the region, Zelenskyy instead suggested Switzerland, Turkey, Austria or the Vatican.
Neither the US nor Russia has commented on the matter.
