AFP writes that, according to a statement, the attack is part of a strike against "the offensive and economic capabilities of the Russian aggressor."
The terminal is in the village of Volna, near the Russian Black Sea port of Taman. The regional governor says Ukrainian drones caused fires in the area and damaged an oil facility. Two people were also reported injured.
In parallel, Ukraine's security service, the SBU, says half of Russia's Pantsir air defense systems have been destroyed, reports The Kyiv Independent.
The systematic destruction of the air defense system has the strategic goal of making Russia vulnerable to Ukrainian missile and drone attacks far into the country, the SBU said in a statement.
"Pantsir is one of Russia's most modern and important air defense systems. The cost of a single system ranges from $15 to $20 million."
In 2025, Russian air defense systems worth about $4 billion were destroyed or rendered harmless, according to the SBU. This allows Ukraine to effectively strike Russian "military bases, warehouses, airfields and other facilities."
Russian attacks on Ukraine have continued over the past 24 hours. Two people were killed when residential buildings were hit in the Kherson region, while at least one person was killed in nighttime attacks in the Zaporizhia region, according to local authorities.
