The SBU security service stated on Telegram that the submarine was equipped with cruise missile systems that were used to attack Ukraine. The drone attack caused extensive damage to the submarine, which was “put out of action,” according to the SBU.
Moscow has not commented on the information.
During its offensive war, Russia has regularly attacked, among other things, the Ukrainian port of Odessa. Ukraine has responded with attacks on Russian ships, attacks that have escalated in recent weeks.
