Ukraine has ordered the evacuation of more than a dozen small communities in the country's northernmost region of Chernihiv, near the border with Belarus.
The area has been the subject of Russian attacks.
The Defense Council decided on a mandatory evacuation of 14 border villages. The area is exposed to daily shelling. Despite the real threat, 300 people still live there, says regional leader Vyacheslav Chaus.
