“The government has approved the first transparent mechanism for the export of Ukrainian weapons,” Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced.

During the year, Kyiv has begun to commercialise its experience in countering Russian attacks by, among other things, sending drone experts to several countries in the Middle East.

In June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the country is negotiating defence agreements with around 20 countries.

During the war, Kyiv has been dependent on arms deliveries from allied Western countries but has also developed its own military technology, especially in the area of drones.

Fedorov emphasises that the goal of the export plans is to "attract international investment without downgrading deliveries" to the country's own military.
