Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha says he has discussed the US proposal for a plan to end the war in Ukraine with European foreign ministers. During the phone call, the next steps were discussed.

The foreign ministers of France, the United Kingdom, Poland and Finland participated in the conversation, as well as EU High Representative Kaja Kallas and representatives from Italy and Germany.

Sybiha calls the conversation "meaningful" in a post on X.

The Foreign Minister states that he shared the results of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's recent talks and "explained the logic behind our next steps."

"We carefully discussed the elements of the peace proposal presented by the United States and our joint work to create a possible path towards a just peace," Sybiha states.

During the conversation, he also stressed the importance of continued pressure on Russia to get the country to end the war.

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper states on X that "Ukraine must determine its future," and that they should work with Ukraine, the US and the EU for peace.
