This is about 472 drones in an attack on Sunday, according to Yuriy Ignat, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force. 385 of the drones were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense.

Russian forces are also said to have fired seven missiles in connection with the drone attack.

One missile is reported to have hit a Ukrainian military training facility, killing twelve soldiers and injuring over 60.

The facility is located 100 miles behind the front line. Ukraine has, due to the heavy losses in a single attack, set up an investigation group to determine the circumstances.

"If it is established that officials' actions or passivity led to the deaths or injuries of military personnel, they will be held strictly accountable", writes the Ukrainian army in a statement.

The commander of the Ukrainian ground forces, Mykhailo Drapaty, announces as a consequence of the attack that he is resigning. He writes in his resignation letter that it is "due to my personal sense of responsibility for the tragedy".
