Gas facilities in Ukraine are reported to have been damaged in Russian attacks, writes the news agency AFP.
"The enemy fired at Naftogaz group's facilities. This is the 18th attack on the group's infrastructure since the beginning of the full-scale war and the eighth since the beginning of the year," the energy company states in a statement.
In total, Russia is said to have directed over 100 drone attacks against Ukraine during the night.
Earlier on Friday, Russia's Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of increasing drone attacks, reports the news agency EFE.
Within half a day, 100 drones were said to have been shot down over eight different regions in Russia, most of them over Bryansk, Voronezh, Saratov, and Kursk.
The governor of Bryansk describes an attack on a transformer station as a breach of the energy ceasefire that the parties are said to have agreed on. However, there have been conflicting reports on whether this ceasefire has taken effect.
"The public promises from the Kyiv regime about a supposed stop to deliberate attacks on Russian civilian energy infrastructure are just another lie," claims the Defense Ministry in Moscow according to AFP.
