Until now, one alarm has warned of all types of airstrikes, whether drones or missiles. But now Ukrainians will be immediately notified of the type of attack.
When there is a drone attack, the airstrike alert is at the yellow level. If instead ballistic missiles threaten, it is a red threat and a different kind of signal, reports Kyiv Independent. In addition, the airstrike warnings will be more geographically precise.
The changes are noticeable, among other things, in that local traffic is changed but not stopped completely when the alarm sounds for a "yellow" attack.
According to Zelenskyy, the measure is being taken to give Ukrainians clearer guidelines on how to act during an attack.
