Ukraine is expecting that the equivalent of over 32 billion kronor will soon be available in the fund that has been started for the purchase of weapons for the country.

Earlier this year, the American initiative PURL was initiated, which largely means that European countries jointly contribute with money to buy advanced American weapons for Ukraine.

Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyj stated on Wednesday that approximately two billion US dollars, just over 18 billion kronor, are now in the fund – and that more money is on its way in.

We will get more money in October. I think we will then have somewhere between 3.5 and 3.6 billion dollars, said Zelenskyj at a press conference in the capital Kyiv.

Zelenskyj revealed few details about what the first arms deliveries may look like, but says he expects missiles for the air defense system Patriot and ammunition for the rocket artillery system Himars.
