Ukraine and Russia exchanged another group of captured soldiers on Thursday. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj shares on social media pictures of smiling released Ukrainian soldiers and states that most of them have been held captive since 2022.
Russia confirms that a prisoner exchange has taken place. However, it is unclear how many prisoners are involved.
It is the latest in a series of exchanges between the countries, as part of an agreement reached on June 2. Then, they agreed to release all seriously injured prisoners of war, all soldiers under 25 years of age, as well as the remains of 6,000 fallen soldiers.
