Russia and Ukraine have exchanged a total of over 400 prisoners of war, reports news agency AFP.
The countries released 205 prisoners each. It is the fifth exchange between the countries since the beginning of the year.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj states that soldiers who defended Mariupol are among those exchanged. The coastal city fell at the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine after a long and bloody siege.
The exchange was mediated according to Moscow by the United Arab Emirates.
