The announcement comes in connection with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visiting the Romanian capital Bucharest on Thursday, where he met with Romanian President Nicușor Dan.
We discussed our military cooperation, and one of the documents signed concerns joint production of drones in Romania, Dan says at a press conference.
The two countries will consider producing drones in Romania "within the shortest possible time," according to the letter of intent.
During the visit, Zelenskyy also offered to develop anti-drone systems together with his European allies.
Zelenskyy will travel on to Paris on Friday.
