Around 15 countries will participate in the talks, along with representatives from the EU and NATO, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. A U.S. delegation will participate via video link.
The initiative comes after Zelenskyy said in his New Year's address that the U.S.-brokered peace plan was "90 percent" complete. He warned that important territorial issues remain.
Next week, leaders of the “Coalition of the Willing,” a group of countries supporting Ukraine, are expected to gather in France. Sweden is one of the countries.
