The UK government gives the green light to Paramount Skydance's purchase of Warner Bros Discovery, Variety reports.
Just as when the EU approved the purchase at the end of July, the UK has received certain assurances to approve the deal, which is worth the equivalent of SEK 1,000 billion, in terms of competition.
Among other things, Paramount has promised to buy British children's programmes for its children's channels.
